Biography of Ahmed "Amido" Enan

Ahmed is an award winning choreographer, and was a principal dancer with Firqua Kawmiyya (National Folkloric Troupe of Egypt), where he met his wife Denise (Tawfiq) Enan. Ahmed trained in gymnastics as a youth in Cairo and belonged to the first generation of Kawmeya dancers.

Ahmed served as a filmographer, photographer and researcher of regional folk dances for the Egyptian Ministry of Culture's Folklore Centre, which served as a resource and inspiration for the stage choreographies of the National Troupe and Reda Dance Troupe in Egypt.

Together Denise and Ahmed have toured the world and performed for Emperors, Kings and Presidents .
