Denise - Beginner through Professional classes

Principle teacher and master instructor; artistic director of the Enan Egyptian Dancers folkloric troupe. Denise was a principal dancer and instructor with the world-renowed National Folkloric Troupe of Egypt from 1960-1974 and is recognized as a pioneer in the Canadian artistic community who is responsible for bringing authentic Egyptian dance to Canada. Denise is in high demand world-wide as a master workshop instructor.

Farida (Marie-Eve) - Beginner through Advanced classes

Farida was trained in instruction techniques and Egyptian dance for performance by Denise and Ahmed Enan, as well as continuing her training with several workshop instructors, both in Canada and in Egypt. Farida is also a member of the Enan Egyptian Troupe and a celebrated soloist in the Outaouais area.

Jalilah - Beginner through Advanced, and Pilates classes

Jalilah has travelled extensively througout the Middle-East and North Africa and through research, observation and practice, she assimilated the different styles of traditional dance, which are closely related to Raks Sharki. She now teaches and conducts workshops on Oriental dance and is the producer of the Jalilahs Raks Sharki CD series. Jalilah is also a certified Pilates instructor.

Gilane (Ginette) - Beginner and Seniors classes

Ginette has studied with master instructor Denise Enan and danced as a member of the Enan Egyptian Troupe for 18 years. She has taken dance workshops both in Canada and in Egypt. Ginette also teaches special workshops tailored for the beginning to intermediate dancer.

 

Johara (Johanne) - Beginner & Cardio Belly classes

Johara originally trained in Modern dance and performed with the professional  troupe Le groupe dance-lab.  She also studied Jazz dance for 6 years with the Ottawa Dance Centre.  She studied oriental dance mostly with master instructor Denise Enan as well as several other instructors in Canada and in Egypt. Johara is a member of the Enan Egyptian Troupe and soloist in the Ottawa-Gatineau area.

Krystina (Christine) - Beginner through Intermediate classes

Christine started Oriental dance in september 2001 with Gilane and later studied with master instructor Denise Enan, as well as taking workshops with other teachers. She performs as a soloist in Ottawa-Gatineau.

Jehane (Jocelyne) Khan - Beginner, substitute teacher, mini-workshops

Jocelyne's foundation training was in Ballet, Tap and Jazz. Since 1996, she has studied Oriental dance under several Ottawa instructors, eventually finding her way to master instructor Denise Enan. In addition, she supplements her training with many workshop instructors in Canada, the USA and Egypt. Jocelyne is a a soloist in the National Capital Region and has been a member of the Enan Egyptian Troupe since 2002.

Ahmed - Arabic classes, Professional coach, Men's dances of Egypt

Ahmed was a principal dancer from 1960 to 1974 with Egypt's National Folkloric Troupe, the Firqa Kaomeia. Ahmed also worked for the Folk Arts Institute of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture as a researcher and recorder of the regional folk dances of Egypt in their natural setting. His research has served to preserve the original folk arts, as well as to inspire the theatricized recreation of these dances as presented in Egypt by the National Troupe and the Reda Troupe.

Ahmed is an award winning choreographer, and choreographs and trains the Enan Egyptian Troupe.
